To Deirdre & Ciara and your extended families, my sincere condolences to you on the loss of your mam. I have lasting memories from my school days in St Anne's of your mam, a brilliant teacher that I was fortunate enough to have for History and Irish; she was so passionate about her teaching, had a wicked quick wit, but overall a determination to get the best from her students. Fond memories too of her compact mirror and red lipstick. May she rest in eternal peace.

My deepest sympathies Deirdre and Ciara on the passing of you lovely Mam. Have fond memories of her and undoubtedly the best Irish teacher I knew. We knew Peig Sayers inside out - not a stone unturned. My thoughts are with you at this sad time no don’t her legacy will live on.

My sincere sympathies to Maura's loving family,Deirdre and Ciara and extended family. You cared for Maura in her failing health and were inspirational. Ye both know what a wonderful mother Maura was and was proud of you both. I remember Maura as a vibrant and passionate teacher and colleague in St. Anne's and I was inspired by her. May Maura rest in peace.

I am so sorry about the passing of Mrs Byrnes. She thought me everything about history in St Anne's she was such a great teacher and a lovely person. I can still recite some of the history she taught me back in 1991. My thoughts and prayers are with you all on your very sad loss of your dear mom.

Dear Deirdre and Ciara, my thoughts are with you. Even though I met your mum only three times, she was always a presences, overhearing Deirdre´s very loving phone calls with her. I know she will be missed very, very much. You were blessed with such a strong family unit - I hope you can give one another comfort in your shared love for her.
