I was very sad upon learning of Maura's passing on Sunday. She was a great character in Holy Family, always looking to use a cúpla focal with me while I was visiting my mother. She always asked me to guess her age, and even though I grew to know over time, I could easily cut a sizeable amount of years and still be reasonable. We will all miss her lively presence.

My deepest sympathies to all of Maura's family. I enjoyed Maura's company in Holy Family in Nazareth House. She was great for the singing and a lovely person. May she rest in peace.

Rónán, we were so sorry to hear about your mum. I have some lovely memories of chatting with her on the road when she would have been visiting your family. Our deepest sympathy to you Leontine, Jorinde, Fionnán and your extended family.

She was a great age and I understand that her death was not unexpected, but she was your mother whom you loved and her death will leave a big gap in your life. Sincere condolences for your loss, my mam Kitty is a resident in Holy Family and we were neighbours. I used to meet Maura at the bus stop on her way out to Dun Laoighaire for a swim, and when I hop in the sea at Bull Wall I think of her and how inspiring she was. May she rest in peace.
