I visited Maura and Ed some years ago as Maura was my cousin. One half of my background is from Ireland including the the Brennan family and it was wonderful to meet them and spend time with them. What a beautiful couple. Such open welcoming. I have since then after Ed's passing kept in touch with Maura and it is so sad to hear of her demise. I was planning on visiting with her this coming year and am devastated to hear of this. A loss to the world, this lovely lady.

As family and friends assembled outside your beautiful home and later at the church we sighed collectively about the end of an era, the closing of a chapter, Maura and Ed were now gone. But as we smiled, laughed and cried recounting tales, heard from different angles, breathing new life into cherished memories, I realise that Maura and Ed will live forever. Maura, you and Ed embodied everything we love about Tullaghan, the mystique, charm, history, sport, outstanding natural beauty, colourful characters with razor sharp wit. There is so much to thank you for, so much to say but so few words through which to do. With that said I lean on a man masterful at creating imagery and painting pictures to flesh out the simplest of words. We bought tickets and you were to join us to see an artist we both loved, John Prine, who was to play at the Olympia 2020 but sadly he too was taken to soon. We leave you with some of his words to thank you and let you know that we will never forget all you’ve done for my generation, the previous generations, and the next generation our kids that you also touched:

So very shocked and saddened to hear of the untimely passing of my dear friend Maura may her gentle soul Rest in Peace. We worked together for many years with Eircom in Letterkenny. We met at football matches birthday parties and in her house in Augherrow. I've fond memories of the good night we had at her 50th birthday party in the Allingham hotel a few short years ago. She missed Ed so much when he passed away so unexpectedly in hospital in Dublin. We have so many great memories together "all now in the past" but Rest in Peace dear Muara. You were talented beyond talent and I'm so glad to have known you as a loyal friend for so long eventhough you're now gone too soon.
