So sad to hear of Maura passing. When we did not get a card from her I was afraid this was the case. She was a lovely lady and Bill and I enjoyed hearing from her especially on St. Patty's day!. Sympathy to Ger and Ann. We remember her fondly from her visits to New Hampshire. Will miss exchanging cards with her.

My sincere sympathy to you Anne, Ger and your extended families. I remember your Mom when our familes used to holiday in Youghal, a long time ago. She was a lovely lady. RIP.

Ger and Anne, I was both sad and sorry to hear the news of your Mum’s passing. As you know we soldiered together in DLTC and Munster Council in the late 70’s and 80’s and I have so many very fond memories of those times. As I read down through the condolences, so many of the names from those times are still with us and it’s a testament to Maura’s hard work, dedication to Tennis, good humour and sense of fun, that she’s now remembered so fondly by all in Munster Tennis, from that time.

May her gentle soul rest in peace.

I am unfortunately away and will not be able to attend her funeral, but will be remembering her tomorrow.

I share special tennis memories with her when we served on the Munster Branch of Tennis Ireland many years ago where Maura administered the Munster inter club competitions so efficiently and pleasantly. She and I remained good friends always.

I have great memories of us sneaking into O’Driscoll’s lounge to watch some of the tennis matches during Wimbledon. She was a great club person and indeed, a Munster Tennis Branch person. So sad to hear the news of Maura’s passing…she always made the point in company of pointing out “This is David, my godson.” Decades of memories of Maura came to mind today, as I realised she was the last of the Wilkins family, our late Dad Bert passed this day last year. She was such great fun and craic, and we’ll miss her greatly.
