It was with great sadness that we learned of Maura’s passing.
Since we had to stop the dance classes in March 2020, we hadn’t the pleasure of seeing her wonderful smile as she came into the ballroom of the Rathcormac Inn.
She had her spot in the comfy seats in the corner where she joined her dance partners in the set just a few steps in front of her.

While Maura always welcomed new dancers to the set, she danced as first tops lady, not because she always knew what was coming next but because that’s where Maura always danced.
On the odd occasion when things might not have gone according to plan, Maura would have her beaming smile turn into a giggle and then into a laugh, which was often contagious.
However, Maura always managed to finish in her own spot, regardless of what enjoyable variation of the particular figure was completed.

The dance floor won’t be the same without her.
We hope she enjoys her dancing in heaven as much.
