Sincere condolences to Pamela, Susan, Sean, Ronan, Olive and Eoghan and extended families.
I can’t say here how I feel about our Dear Auntie Maura and my Godmother. Apart from being my special Auntie, she was Auntie to my kids growing up. My husband Padraic and herself had such a mutual love and relationship. She couldn’t feed us enough when we’d visit and she’d make him wear her ‘pinny’ when he’d insist on washing up. In later years it was Susan that was beckoned to help at these lunches. Then the memories of Maura, Noel and my parents, Kathleen and Ambrose hitting the road on their trips, and a few stop-offs on the way. !!!
They had some stories to tell.
I’ll miss our chats, and our Christmas call. Her wisdom, kindness, understanding and her love,
Thoughts and prayers to my cousins and their families at this extremely difficult and sad time.
Codhladh Samh, Auntie Maura. RIP
