My deepest sympathy to Maura’s family at this sad time .She was the heart and soul of the post natal service ,her professionalism ,empathy and kindness always focussed on the mothers and their babies.Her warm smile ,her kind words and unwavering support of all mothers were the bedrock of all activities and interactions on her ward.
Maura was a wonderful colleague and support to all of us who worked with her .
There was no need for a computer when Maura was around .She knew all under her care , was an endless source of important information and was fastidious in ensuring that all medical issues were addressed sympathetically and efficiently .

Maura was an excellent midwife and manager.She was well respected by everyone who knew her.Maura was a wounderful person friendly kind caring generous and sincere. Rest in peace Maura you will never be forgotten.

I had the honour of working with Maura at Mullingar Regional Hospital. She was larger than life, incredibly kind and an amazing human being. She not only taught me and other doctors critical lessons in clinical care but also life lessons of humility, empathy and kindness. Rest in peace dear Maura - you will be so missed.
