So sad to hear of Mrs. Byrne's passing. As a kid on Dowland Road sixty years ago I remember her kindness, her cheerfulness and her genuine decency. Then when I was older she was very good to me when I was in college. We were all so fond of her her and my Mam was especially close to her. So lovely to see her again shortly before Covid - when she was still driving and full of beans. Sincere sympathy to Bernie and and all the Byrnes for your great loss.

Just heard of Maura’s passing in her 97th year. What an accomplishment. We lived across the road from ‘Mrs. Byrne’ and my abiding memory of her was her laughter and smile. A wonderful lady with a heart of gold. My condolences to all the family. May Maura rest in peace.
