I had the pleasure of visiting her last summer along with a cousin of mine, Maureen Mc Devitt from the USA. They recalled some great stories about the fun times they'd shared, both in America and in Ireland over the years. She was a wonderful lady and it was a pleasure to spend time in her company. So sorry I missed the funeral but only say the notice on RIP today. Thinking of you all and sending hugs. May Maura's gentle soul rest in peace.

Ah, I’m so sorry to hear this very sad news about Maura. My heartfelt condolences to Sean and Tomás, Maura’s daughters-in-law, and her grandchildren, and wider family. I knew Maura since I was a teenager and have very fond memories of her kindness and wonderful sense of humour. May her gentle soul rest in peace.
