She was a lady and we met at a days outing in the Aras in September 2019
We had a wee chat about Cavan and old times.

Deepest sympathy to Liam and family, and Charlie on the death of my old friend, Maura. The Woods and Smith families go back a long way and Maura and I have been friends for over sixty five years. Maura will be very sadly missed.

I am very sorry to hear about your mother’s passing. Being away, there were gaps between my visits but Maura and Liam were so incredibly welcoming and warm when my wife Irene and I visited with our new family. We will light a candle for her here in Spain, a place she was very fond of.

We are both shocked to hear of Maura's passing. It is some years since we met socially but we remember her warmth and happy welcomes to us when we visited Maura and Liam in their apartment and ,previously, in their home. Those were very happy encounters which we remember with great fondness. Our deepest sympathy to Liam and the family. May she rest in peace.
