If you ever wanted to meet a lady this was her. Knew Maura from coming into Clohessys years ago in my security days for her lunch with her friends. Everyone was mad about her and by coincidence my wife also knew her from the hair salon and loved her. She was great craic and always in great form. She was a brilliant person and although had not seen her in many years she will be missed. Rest In Peace Maura. No doubt the gates of heaven opened the minute you arrived.

I will remember and treasure my weekly cups of tea and long chats with Maura where she used to reminisce about growing up in her beloved William Street with her brothers Noel and Sean, meeting Jim and moving to Mayorstone - so much history and stories of days gone by. Maura had wonderful friends and neighbours and greeted all callers to her home with a huge welcome - she loved her fashion and weekly hair appointments and was truly blessed to be able to live in her own home until her unexpected passing. Rest in Peace Maura, we will miss you so much.
