I got to know Maura working as a carer in Beneavin Lodge. She was a strong lady who never failed to impress with her determination even when life challenged her. She was very proud of her Dublin heritage as she told us many times she was 5 generations Dublin! She was also proud to be from Griffith Avenue. Just thinking of Maura brings a smile to my face. Hope you’re home now Maura, I miss you.
Deepest condolonces on the passing of Maura, who was a great friend to my mother, Evelyn Herlihy.Sympathies from all the Herlihy family.Mary Herlihy.
Please accept my heart-felt condolences on the death of your aunt Maura. It was a shock to read of her death so soon after your Mother, Annette.
I always enjoyed the chats I had with Sheila and Maura when they visited Annette in Dalkey, from politics to hearing anecdotes about their lives in Griffith Avenue and Galway.
It must be a comfort to know the four sisters are united again. May they Rest In Peace.
Deepest sympathies to Nicholas, John, Kathryn, Jane, Ferdia, Dara, Sarah and Alison. Maura was a wonderful person a real gem.
Take care during this difficult time.
What a woman! Maura was so full of life and fun when I knew her growing up in 87 Griffith Ave. Always ready for a party and a bit of craic. I’ve the fondest memories of my mum Rosemary and Maura sitting out the front of the house, sipping Baileys and watching the world go by. Wonderful memories. Deepest sympathy to all the family on the loss of such a great lady.
Deepest sympathies on Maura's death. Maura was a lovely lady and a great friend to our parents, Tom and Rosemary.
