So sorry to hear of Maura’s death she was a great friend to myself and my Dad & Mum John & Mona we enjoyed many holidays in Rathmullen Co Donegal and trips to Coleraine with Maura & Denstone.
John & Mona were at Maura & Denstone Wedding and I still have the photos.
I will always remember you Maura you were so good to me. Ann
Sincere sympathies to all of Maura's family. I had the pleasure of having many an interesting conversation with Maura as I dropped her medicine to her from Doran's Pharmacy. Every conversation was different, no topic was off limits and Maura was always keen to understand and to listen. What her body may have lacked in strength, in her later years, her mind and her determination more than compensated for. Maura was a one-of-a-kind and will be missed by all who knew her. Rest in Peace.
My sincere condolences. Maura was a woman of integrity, forward thinking and open. You will be sadly missed.
About 20 years ago on a train to Dublin for a Munster match I had the pleasure of meeting and chatting with Maura for a few hours. Such great company and an inspirational lady. Told me all about her life and her late Denstone. She drove me from Heuston to Ballsbridge and offered to take me to Cabinteely for breakfast. Only time I ever met her but never forgot and thought about that morning a lot over the years. May she rest in peace.
My deepest sympathy on the death of Maura. Her husband Denstone was a well respected teacher in Cabinteely Community School.
May she rest in peace.
Paddy Rose and the Kelly family. Our condolences on the passing of your inspirational aunt Maura. Rest in peace Maura.
My sincere sympathy to Maura’s family. She and Denstone became great friends of my late parents Sylvia and Paddy when they lived in Sandymount many years ago. She was always so very kind and interesting with such panache, and was a true pioneer for women.
Happy memories of visits to Coleraine and Cabinteely, and lucky Trixie dog who was abandoned, followed me home from school, and landed on his paws when Maura & Denstone took him in.

May Maura rest in Peace.

Deepest sympathy to Maura’s family and friends.
I was lucky to meet Maura 3 years ago when working as a carer. And later on she became more like a friend and life mentor.
Maura was always so graceful and warm. Her resilience in fighting her illness was truly inspiring. She was also a patient listener, her encouraging words and her presence provided the strength when I needed it most.
Those time spent with Maura was too short but still a gift for me and will forever be cherished.
Though you may no longer be with us in body, your spirit lives on in the hearts of those you touched. I will always hold you in the highest regard. Thank you Maura for everything, may you rest in peace.

I am so glad to have been introduced to Maura by a mutual friend Margaret (Murphy) Hughes many years ago.
It was always so enjoyable, entertaining and interesting to meet up with her.
Her courage in dealing with her final illness was truly inspirational.
May she Rest in Peace.
Sincere sympathy to Maura's family and friend. I was an MEd student in TCD more than four decades ago, yet one of the most vivid memories I cherish is Maura's sessions, her vivacious presence and zest for life. In my memory she will continue to be a force of nature. I have no doubt that at this difficult time, her contributions to other's lives will be a significant source of solace.

May Maura Wall Murphy rest in peace. She pioneered the concept of Family Mediation in Irish Social Work
So sorry to hear about Maura's passing and she will be greatly missed. Held in the highest regard by all and a really inspirational person, she was also a very empathetic and encouraging listener. No matter what was going on in her life she loved to make time for a chat and was always great company. Her supreme intellect always gave such nuanced insights and her razor sharp wit will be a huge loss.
Rest easy, Maura. You deserve it.

All in Lissarda, home place of the remarkable Denstone Murphy, Maura’s loving husband (and dear friend of my father, Ted. Denstone loved to quote Walt Whitman: "Every man shall be his own priest.") mourn Maura’s death —and remember with affection the deep and revolutionary love they held for each other. May they rest together in peace.

We are sad to hear of Maura’ s passing- an absolutely lovely lady who we got to know through the wonderful theatre group from years ago. She was an amazing warrior in managing her illness so well over the years and in having such a candid and independent view on life and living. May she rest gently. Ed and Avril.
