Maureen AHERNE

Patrisha and Clair, I got to know Maureen over the years from looking after her when she would come in to have her lunch, a little treasure she surely was, always time for a chat and always said hello to me when I’d meet her in the town, I was very sad to read of her death, please accept my condolences and may Maureen rest in peace

Dear Clare,Anselm, Patrisha, Jimmy, Jackie, Rhoddie and extended families,
We were so sorry to hear of Maureen's passing. She was the active precious link between the Massiahs and the Ahernes. She bravely battled the mosquitoes and bugs to visit us in Trinidad. She attended our wedding, continued to keep in touch via phone and photos throughout our twin's birth, birthdays, and various landmark events. She visited us in Derbyshire a few times and even withstood our overly affectionate dogs! I am so glad we got to see her in Dublin before we retired to Wales and she retired from travelling. But she continued to check in on us through her trusty 'mobile phone.' Her great sense of humour and wicked laugh will always stay with us. She will be sorely missed.
