We are saddened to hear of the passing of Mrs Carroll. What a wonderful lady she was, a dedicated teacher but more importantly a very proud wife, mother and grandmother. She always took time to chat and ask about our Son Mark whom she taught in second class. She was a great teacher, and a great colleague and friend to me many years later. She will be greatly missed.

I have known Maureen in many different contexts over the years....as a wonderful, warm, encouraging and dedicated teacher to my boys in Togher BNS, as a loyal supporter of Cor Cois Abhainn, and through our shared enjoyment of Italian in the Dante Society. We shared such lovely times and I will really miss our Italian coffee mornings, the chats and fun not to mention the delicious scones and pavlova! My heart goes out to her beloved family who will miss her so much.

Sending my sincere condolences to all of Maureen's family. I was at school with Maureen and only renewed contact in the last few years through the Maryfield What's App group. She was such a wonderful, dignified, gifted woman and an inspiration to us all, managing to share with us up to the very last weeks of her life. We are so grateful for that. She certainly lived a full and loving life. She will be missed by us all
