So sorry to hear of Maureen's passing, we worked together in Orthopaedics in Manorhamilton, she gave me some valuable tips playing golf, and 6 years ago we both completed an IT course in Mohill, where we all celebrated her 90th birthday with her, what an enthusiastic, enspiring lady, full of zest for life, may her dear soul rest in peace now.

I always knew her to see around town but in later years got to know Maureen through Ballinamore Women’s Group. Our house in Main Street would be "the first port of call" when the Roddy girls would come home on holidays with the latest fashions and such style. Maureen led a very active retirement , with her many friends and had wonderful years in St Pats where the staff loved her and still being the nurse would offer to ,help when busy Rest in peace Maureen .

She was the first Staff member l met when l went to work in Our Lady's Hospital, discovered we both trained as Midwives in the same hospital City of London Maternity Hospital Hanley Road. I sold Maureen a washing machine and it was special one that i had to get in. Rang Maureen when it came in to arrange delivery the next day. She said hold on John until i check my diary. Sorry John cant do tomorrow. Golf with William Hart at 8 30, then swimming and bridge later on.
I was playing with our golf society in Cavan Golf club about 8 year's ago and we were teeing of at 11. Myself and Micheal Joyce seen Maureen and her good friend Winnie Mc Tague outside the clubhouse and being members of Ballinamore Golf Club we went over to have a chat with the two girls. I asked them what time they were teeing off at, Maureen replied with a smile " sure we are finished " she said they left Ballinamore at 5 30 and were teeing off at 7 o clock.
Just a wonderful lady. Rest in peace Maureen 🙏
