If anyone was going to live forever, we all thought it would be you, Maureen. Alas, it was not to be. As the clan gathers this week, to mourn, let us not forget to celebrate your life with lots of whiskey, spirit and song. From your 'adopted' Scottish daughter, honorary member of the clan

I was deeply saddened to hear of Maureen's passing. I had the honour of meeting her on my very first trip to Ireland only a few months ago, it was clear that she has lived a life filled with love from her beautiful family.
I had the honour of staying in Maureen's house in Clonskeagh, where even in her absence, laughter and generosity filled the air. I can only imagine this is the legacy that she left behind, and is a testament to the kindness she has woven into the lives of those she has touched.
My heart goes out to her beloved grandchildren, Eliza, Ewan and Patrick, her daughter Aileen and all who were lucky enough to know and love her.
I hope you may all find comfort in the beautiful memories you all shared.

Thanks for being a great mother in law. Will miss you lots.
To Sheila, Mary, David, and Aileen and all Maureen’s family I am very sorry to read of the death of your lovely mother Maureen. Maureen was always so friendly when I was walking up the road from school and I have fond memories of her and all the ladies on the road who were part of that famous Clonskeagh Ladies Association - they made the most of life with their outings. We will miss Maureen, such a lady, on Gledswood Avenue from all the Walsh’s at 34.
Sincere condolences to Sheila and family at this sad time.
