We’ve had the pleasure of meeting her and chatting to her over the years. She’ll be sadly missed. Thank you all for always being there for Karen, Darren and their girls.

I am so sorry Fiona, Conor and Patrick for the loss of your lovely mother. She showed wonderful kindness to our mum, Margaret after the death of our brother, Gerard. Calling to her on a regular basis, listening to her and being there to comfort her in her great sorrow. I will always remember her for that wonderful gift of friendship. Dear Fiona, Patrick, Conor,

Maureen was such a special person. Always cheery and great fun, but also deeply kind and generous. In a tumultuous period for myself and my two sisters, she was (with Pauric) a rock of support, yet asked for nothing in return. Among my most fond childhood memories is living for a few months in the house in Oberstown, with cousins, uncle and, most centrally, Auntie Maureen.

My deepest condolences go out to you all, in this moment of great loss.

Maureen was a wonderful woman. Full of life with an infectious laugh. She was full of generosity and love and she provided a safe haven for our family when we were growing up. She will be sadly missed.
