Such fond memories of Maureen from my childhood, herself and my aunt Essie were like Thelma and Louise and enjoyed many an adventure together. Mary and Ursula (and families), my heartfelt condolences to you on the loss of your mother. She was one in a million, a kind, generous person who lived life to the full. Mrs Carey was my mother's hairdresser for many years and I have very fond memories of visiting her salon as a child and in later years dropping mam to Fr Russell Road for the weekly 'wash and set'. I was always grateful for her kindness towards my mother and I hope that she will now rest in external peace.
