We got to know Maureen through Dun Laoghaire Active Retirement and it was our pleasure to have been able to bring her to Mass in recent years. Each Sunday we then adjourned to the Gourmet Cafe where we attempted to solve the world's problems to no avail. Maureen loved rugby but her favourite sport was TT racing. She relived her visits to the Isle of Man and spoke lovingly of her late Dad and brother's participation in the sport.
Sadly our Sunday trips ended when we re-located to Roscommon and she then enjoyed watching Mass on television. We still kept in touch weekly even in her final weeks. She had great faith and drew comfort from John O'Neill bringing her the Eucharist.
Sincere sympathy to Anthony ,whom she spoke of visiting her on Friday afternoons, and to the other relatives. May Maureen rest in peace.

I knew Maureen from working with her in the Irish Press. It was a pleasure to work with such a lovely pleasant, kind and wise lady. We kept in touch over the years with little notes on Christmas cards. I am so sad to hear she has died. May she rest in peace.
