As a member, Maureen's joy, stories and humour were traits of a kind pleasant lady.
Maureen's joy and contentment when telling the story in recent years about the day her Mum told her, she didn't have to go to School anymore and going to the bog to bring home a load of turf would bring back happiness to her in later life. On days out shopping with the group, Maureen held the record for the fastest member of the group to pick a coat or a pair of shoes, try them on and purchase. No time wasted.
Her calm, patience, honesty and most of all diligence were second to none when she was among her partners and opposition in the Game of 25.
It was a pleasure to have known Maureen, her jokes and stories from the Irelands Own will be forever remembered.
RIP Maureen.
