Maureen is one of the original occupants of these small bungalows in Knocklyon and so is much missed by all the neighbours. I know her now 50 years, a person who could always be called on for a chat or help solve a problem. I was often the recipient of her delicious garden produce especially the Victoria plums. Clearly a wonderful neighbour who always remembered her beloved Cullen roots. Oftentimes her late brother Der spoke of his delight and that of his sisters regarding the great respect accorded to the famous Seán Keating painting "The Men of the South" which featured their father, Roger. Very sorry to hear of Maureen’s passing.She was a marvellous neighbour who in her younger days kept a beautiful garden full of exotic fruit and vegetables.She gifted us a fig tree.She and my late husband Bob would often swap gardening tips and eating apples over the back wall.May she rest in peace.
