She was so good to Avril and Ryan when you Carol and Maureen took care of them after school here in Mallow. Maureen always spoke highly of you Carol and always gave me sound advise to look after and mind the kids.

Maureen minded my sisters and I growing up. She was there from the day I came home from the hospital after being born and minded me right up untill I went off to college. She was always patient and never got cross. She had a great sense of humour and of fun, she'd joke about times when she would pretend to ring RTE if Bosco didn't come on as planned or remark how she remembered washing us in the sink. She was always good for a chat over some tea and cake. She meant the world to us. May she rest in peace. Aideen & Mairéad xx

We shall pass through this life just once and though we meet so many people throughout our lives there is only rare people who leave a lasting impression on you.Mautren was one of those people who was loved and respected by anyone she met and anyone of us that met her had our lives enriched by her presence.i had the privilege of knowing Mick and Maureen for most of my life and I must say that apple didn't fall far from tree because their 3 children have the same traits of character. Any time Maureen's name is mentioned the word lady is the next word I am so sorry not to be present at the funeral but Mary and I are in Glasgow.

Its been.many years but i think this is my old friend from Mahon, i always think of Maureen, i was her cabbie on her weekly visits to her friend on the northside, i remember her telling me about the constellation bar. She was my favourite customer. So kind and thoughtful. God bless you Mrs Mc Gowan. Prayers to the sacred heart for all.
