Noeleen and Geraldine, we are so sad to hear of your beautiful Mother's passing. We loved and adored Maureen and Peader and the days they would travel home to Crossmaglen was always a highlight for us. She will always be missed.

Aunty Maureen held a deep and clear image in her mind all of her life of her roots. She never lost the sentimental longing to visit the village of Cloonlmney where she was reared. She prayed every night for the people of it. She returned with Peadar, Noleen and Gerry many times to visit us there. We walked at length over Lubar land where she dearly loved. She baked us the best iced coffee cakes that still stand apart from any I have ever tasted! She told the best stories of her youth. She had teriffic style and a really warm welcoming caracter. She was a strong role model always generous and kind. I take much from her long life and the many hours we shared together. She wasn't just a cool Aunt but too a great friend to me. She will go on in my memory now inspiring me every day of my life. I will take the legacy of her strong faith, high core values and principles in the life she well led within me forever. She really had a heart of gold.

Noeleen, Gerry and the extended Murphy family. We were so sorry to hear of the passing of your dear Mum, Maureen. I remember your mum and dad so well. When I joined the Bell family on the Port Road late 1980, you were our neighbours and you were both young girls. Your mum and dad were so warm and always chatted as they passed by and had a word of encouragement. Even though you must be happy your mum is at rest, you will miss her presence. David and I would like to extand our sincere and deep sympathy to the whole family.

As she was a loving aunt to our cousins and neighbours who all looked forward to seeing their Auntie, as children we also called her Auntie Maureen.
