Suzanne, Gerard, Paula and Keith so sorry to hear of the passing of your wonderful Mother Maureen. She was such a great neighbour and friend since we came to live on Shanliss Ave over 60 years ago. I will really miss her and all the great chats we had. She had such a great sense of humour.

Maureen was a lovely,kind lady who was always pleasant to talk to here in Gardiner St church. I will miss her chats, humour and the chocolate bars!

I know Maureen since I was a young girl living on Shanliss Avenue and we shared many a laugh,conversation and lots of lovely memories that I will treasure. She was a kind, caring, beautiful person and I hope you all find comfort from all the beautiful messages and kind words so very fondly spoken of her here. Having worked closely with Paula and Suzanne back in the early nineties, it was at that time I got to know Maureen. While I find it hard to recall the many things we discussed way back then, what I have never forgotten is the kindness and love Maureen showed me on every visit. It was selfless, it was unconditional and it has never left me. Maureen your gifts of love, warmth and wisdom you have etched in the hearts of your beautiful children. Thank you for being you, I am so lucky our paths crossed for a moment of forever and may you Rest in Peace Maureen O’Brien.

I met your mother at Sunday Mass a few times - and quite recently too. She was cheerful and friendly.

From what has been said, Maureen O'Brien was an amazing woman, mother, and grandmother. I wish from the bottom of my heart I had the pleasure of knowing her. As I know for a fact, she would have been the kindest and sweetest soul in the whole world. All will miss her, and she rests peacefully, knowing she lived a good life, surrounded by loved ones. That her Life stories, and who she was, will live on through her grandchildren and all the people that she has touched with her life.
