Tommy, Tomas, Sean, Joyce and families, so sorry to hear of Maureen's passing. She always loved a chat when the shop was open, made me feel welcome in the community when I arrived down to Lacken as a new bride back in 1986. She came out of the shop the day I brought Eimear home from the Coombe in 1999. At the GAA dances in the Downshire I always enjoyed watching Maureen and Tommy dancing, they were fantastic, so attuned to each other. She will be missed by her entire family and all her neighbours and friends in Lacken. May she now rest in peace.

Lovely memories were made in 'The Shop'...when I would drop in for the paper on the way home from work. Maureen always had time for a chat. I will always remember how she turned a blind eye to my eating from the bowl of grapes she had on the counter. Im sure I ate my way through many a days profit. This was the kind of person she was......generous, kind and caring. Always there with a helping hand before you even knew you needed one. You were one in a million Maureen, we will never forget you.
