I take solace in believing that my best friend Paul was there to greet your Mum and hold her hand as she passed from this world to the next.
I will commemorate your Mum and Paul in my local church, Rowe Street, in Wexford.

Having been that soldier myself in 2016, I found that when grief subsides, it is replaced by the joy of a life so well lived and the absolute privilege of having such a fantastic Mum.
