I have fantastic memories of when u all lived in Castlebar. Your mum was a wonderful person with a massive ❤️ and herself and Dick were great friends of my mum and dad. She was wonderful to us when we were kids and she always had a great welcome for anyone that called. On one occasion, I recall we ran aground in clew Bay one time in a boat and Maureen kept us all entertained and upbeat as we waited literally for the tide to turn. She had a really great personality, optimism and positive outlook on everything and everyone she met. A lovely lady and a lost treasure. Best Wishes to you all the Scalans at this sad time. I knew your mother well. We as a family spent lots of wonderful times together. She and your Dad were great friends and I know what a great loss this is to you all. A mother can never be replaced and my heart goes out to all of you. My deepest sympathies. Mary and family.
