Dear Linda, Mattie, Una, Paul, Catherine & Sandra,

Words can not begin to express the sadness I have felt over the past few days but memories help to push away the sad times and I have loads of great memories of Maureen. What a kind and wonderful person she was, I always called her my second mom. I remember many, many moons ago when I was in Mrs. Ryan class I was struggling with spelling tests and Maureen said that I had to concentrate & repeat the spellings over and over and of course she was right because the next test I got 100%!

She always managed to make me laugh even when she was so sick in hospital (last month) she had me smuggling in salt..oh! that would be Maureen!!. I am so happy I spent time with her just a few weeks ago and we said our goodbyes, it's funny you never do know if goodbyes are forever when we say them.

One thing I know, is that heaven will have perfectly mowed lawns, no weeds and beautiful blooms with Maureen there and hopefully she is saying hi to Daddy, Richie & Nana for me. We will all meet up again someday and have some more good laughs.

God bless you all and thank you for sharing your mom.
Una, I am so sorry to hear about the death of your mother. Our condolences to you, Sandra, the Smith & Clohessy families. May fond memories comfort you during this very sad time. Will talk to you soon. Love Maura, Martin & family
