My sincere sympathy to Della, Deirdre, and Teresa and extended family on Maureen’s passing. She was a dear and precious friend of Jimmy’s during his Middlemount years. He never failed to recount and admire her strength of character in the face of the difficulties she encountered as a young mother who lost her infant son and was widowed so suddenly and so tragically. She was a wonderful and reliable neighbour and was one of the first people I was introduced to by Jimmy in 1976 when I first visited Middlemount. May she rest in the peace of heaven and be assured of the welcome of the friends and neighbours who have predeceased her.
