Sincere condolences to the McQuaid and Walsh families on the death of our dear neighbour Maureen. She was so kind and generous to us children as we grew up in Grace Park Heights. She was also a great support to our parents in their last years. I'm just glad that she is now with her beloved husband Liam who was taken from her so soon. And indeed Liam was also such a kind and generous neighbour to our family. Nothing was too much trouble for either of them and their open house hospitality was of the very best kind. They truly were everyone's favourite aunt and uncle in the GPH hood!

The Milne family, Paul, Sara and John and the numerous cats and dogs that Maureen loved too!

Sad to hear of Maureen's passing. I knew her right back to the sixties though we only met occasionally at family events. She was always the personification of Limerick and Adare and kept it alive for those of us who left Limerick and only now wonder at what might have been.

Sincere condolences to Teresa, Kathleen, Ethel, Declan, Geraldine and Aileen on the loss of lovely Maureen. She left her mark on so many people, and shared her love for the GAA with all us little girls in Grace Park who she brought to the ladies matches in Croke park (when the attendance for an all Ireland final was around the 2,000 mark). Her influence ensured that we all signed our own children up for football, camogie and hurling when they were little. We all delighted in her her joy with the recent success of the Limerick hurlers. Even in her final weeks, from her hospital bed she sent texts asking if we’d seen games and what we thought💚. She was a great neighbour and epitomised wonderful community spirit. The Limerick lady will be missed

I only just heard about Sr Maureens death today. She was so kind to all the women in the hostel. Always talking to us and serving us our food. She was always pulling weeds. She made the garden lovely and was always telling us how to make the garden nicer. I'm very sad we won't be seeing her any more. She sat down with me and we prayed the Rosary when I was very upset one time. She was lovely.
