May we offer our sincere and heartfelt sympathies to Ina, Veronica, Anthony and the Neville family on your sad loss.
Tony was a larger than life character, with an interest in people and sport that made for very entertaining company. He was a great storyteller, and his charm and wit was a perfect foil for his caustic humour. He was a great servant of Bandon Golf Club, as well as other sporting organisations, and his knowledge and wisdom, delivered with eloquence and oratorial skill, was quite persuasive and often helped to diffuse the tension if things seemed to be reaching an impasse during a meeting. He was a great adviser and mentor to many younger members, and encouraged them to participate in the running of the club.

To Ina and family members - my memories of Tony are all lasting and good. He was the first person to call me when my father unexpectedly died following a road accident. He also gave me time when first joining Bandon Rugby Club and playing on the team with him when I was still 17. I still can't believe that this is all 59 years ago.
Tony lived life to the full and made an outstanding contribution to all aspects of life in Bandon, while also devoting himself to you, his family, at all ages covering several generations. May he rest in peace. Sincerely, Jim
