Only just heard this sad news. I went to St. Brendan’s with Maurice and he was always such a cool guy. Very shocked & saddened to hear of his untimely passing. Sincerest condolences to the whole family. RIP Maurice.

I am so sorry to hear this sad news. I was in college with Maurice and have very fond memories of him. Always happy, always smiling and always had time for a chat and a bit of crack. I remember him always being at the cutting edge (he was the first of us to own a mobile phone. Not sure I ever heard it ring though!). He crammed in so much in too short a time. My heartfelt condolences to all his family. Thoughts and prayers are with all.

As a cousin abroad I only met Maurice a few times but even from that you could tell he was one of life’s go-getters and still in his prime. Such shocking news to hear of his untimely passing. It was a lovely service with heartfelt words from his brother Len and his mother Ann. My deepest sympathy to all the family. Rest in peace Maurice.

I knew Maurice from my days at Marsh. He always had time for a chat and it was lovely when he got in touch with me earlier this year via FB to see how my move to Ireland was going. Really sorry to hear of your loss. I worked with Maurice in London and he was brilliant at his job but the best times were when we talked about Ireland and his love of rugby. Very sad and I will say a prayer for him

I met Maurice a few days before we moved to the States together right out of college in 1998. It was a dream start to life and in no time we were surrounded by a second family of new friends in Sapient NJ. Our ‘Pappydappydapidus’ Essex Rd apt was more like a motel for wandering souls and the booze was always flowing. Great times indeed. Mos always wanted to marry a beautiful woman, get rich on property and travel the world. Even in his short time on this earth he still managed to hit 3 for 3. Our deepest condolences to the family. Mos, RIP - you will be sorely missed my old friend.

As a former Teacher and Rugby Coach of Maurice, I am saddened and shocked to hear of his passing at such a young age. He was one of the finest young men I had the privilege of working with in the Classroom and coaching on the Rugby Pitch. I have so many fantastic memories of times I spent with him. Shocked to read today of the passing of Maurice. I had the pleasure of coaching him in both St.Brendan's and Greystones RFC. Later, escorting him to Leinster Youth fixtures and culminating in his victory in the Leinster Under 19s Mc Corry Cup in 1994. The only time Greystones achieved such success.. Our last meeting was at a lunch to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the latter. We ha a great chat and Imgave him a framed photo of his team that won the Under 13s Metropolitan Cup in 1988..the wonderful boy that I knew and loved so well had matured into a gentleman of distinction.. My sincere condolences to you, Ann and Leonard, and to his loving wife and son whom I never had the privilege of meeting. May the angels sing him to his rest.
