Really sad to hear of the death of Maurice, he was a very special man, generous, kind, considerate and shared a great interest in the history of the Moran Clan. Teresa and Maurice were both very good to me in 1969. I joined the Bank of Ireland that year and my first posting was Midleton. First time away from Limerick.!! Maurice and Teresa put me up for 3 months and could not do enough for me even thou they had a young family at the time. A gesture I will never forget. Unfortunately Teresa died within 12 months. Condolences to all the family in this sad time however you can be really proud of Your Father / Grand Father’s legacy. May he rest in peace. Liam and Ellie Madden.

Sincere condolences to extended families on the passing of Maurice. I have very fond memories of a true gentleman. More than 60 years ago Maurice was a lodger in our small home in Kilworth. He had a wonderful sense of humor and my parents loved him. In those days someone coming from the government to advise farmers was often viewed with suspicion. Maurice was an excellent diplomat and gained everyones respect.
