Maurice (Mossey) Donovan

I am so sad to learn about Mossey's passing away. I used to chat to him most mornings in Dollymount as we met on dog walks. He was such a gentleman and a lovely person to talk to. Condolences to family, friends and neighbours.

Sincere sympathy to the family on the loss of Maurice, he was a lovely man and liked by all who knew him. everyone in the Clontarf area knew Maurice and of course met him regularly whilst he walked Scooby and offered treats to other dogs who came to say hello to him.
A good man who will be sorely missed by all of his friends

What started as a conversation in the sheds turned out to be 3 great years of you and me spending a lot of time together ,i have some great memories of our sessions ,games of golf which always came with a few tips followed by a few pints and our knowledge of horses being put together to try and beat the bookies , scooby will be in my thoughts was always there when got home to greet us you were a true friend and gentleman always made a fuss whenever Madeline was up from mayo you will be sadly missed condolences to your family and many friends RIP Mossy . So sorry to learn of your sudden passing Mossey. A legend in Clontarf alongside Scooby! We chatted as you and your side kick strolled down Clontarf Park en route to the Sheds! The world was put to rights and of course with two Tipp men having the chat hurling was also discussed! A gentleman of the old school who worked hard but enjoyed the craic! Sincere condolences to the Donovan family. Mossey was a true gentleman. We will miss him terribly. He and Scooby always had a special place up at the counter in the Pebbler. Some punters could not get a seat but Scooby always had a stool to himself! Clontarf will not be the same without him. Rest In Peace lovely Mossey.
