To our great sadness we only became aware today of the death of Maurice. Our hearts and thoughts go out to Jane and all his beloved family. What a legacy he leaves, unique in so many ways. We were privileged to be there from the start both in Tipperary and the Burren. Fond memories that live in our mind's eye.
He has plenty to record up there! May his enquiring but gentle soul rest in peace.

My deepest sympathies. I interviewed him for documentaries over the years ago and he was always helpful and kind.

I was very sorry to hear the sad news about the passing of Maurice. Maurice had a long and fruitful association with my late brother Russell as they worked together on The Pictorial History of Tralee and The Old Kerry Journal. Maurice also made a very moving speech at my brother’s funeral. With Maurice’s passing it is indeed an end of an era in Tralee. My condolences to all the O’Keefe family.

Valerie & I were saddened by the news of Maurice's recent passing, & we would like to pay our condolences to his family. On the day that Maurice interviewed my mother, Molly, in 2008, his passion, energy & enthusiasm for what he was doing was plain for us to see that day. May Maurice rest in peace.

I was very sad to hear of Maurice O'Keeffe passing one lovely man, first got to know Maurice as a fellow athlete when I took up running in the early 80s & became good friends my sympathy to his lovely family, R.I.P Maurice ❤️🙏
