I had the great pleasure of meeting Maurice and Ala a couple of years ago at the Mount Temple/Mountjoy Marine annual past pupil's dinner and although we hadn't spoken for what must have been almost 50 years, he was the kind, smiling gentleman I always remembered him to be.
