Our deepest, deepest sympathy to all of the Shortt family. I have known Maurice since he was a Sergeant in Athy, Co.Kildare. He was one of the greatest and most kind human beings I have ever met. I was tremendously happy to work with him in Ballyfermot and Maurice's magnificent work for the Irish Wheelchair Association will be so kindly and fondly remembered, by those who had the pleasure of knowing Maurice's contribution to the underprivileged in our society. A gentleman to his fingertips.
