With sadness I recently learnt of Maurice's passing. I worked with Maurice for many years in Ballyfermot Training Centre. He was a gentleman and fair and honest in his engagement with everyone. I have nothing but good memories of our time working together. My thoughts are with you all at this very difficult time

I am saddened to hear of the passing of Maurice. My condolences to the Walsh family. Maurice was a gentleman and work colleague in AnCO and FÁS. May he now rest in peace.

He was always an absolute gentleman. It was an honour be a part of his care and to get to know his adoring and committed family.

He was kind, wise, patient and considerate and despite all still gave me some tips and tricks towards marathon training in the last few months.

Maurice served as Club Chairman and juvenile coach.

He was a fantastic chairman that ran a very tight ship in a time when money was scarce in the late 80’s.

Warm tributes have been paid to him by those that knew him and he is described as being an absolute gentleman.

We all owe people like Maurice a huge gratitude for helping to make Lucan Harriers the club it is today.

Very sad to hear that Maurice had passed. Maurice was chairman of Lucan Harriers athletic club in the 80’s and was always very passionate about doing the right thing for the juveniles of the area .
Maurice was a very proud dad and always had a story of what the girls were doing when you met him.
