Dear David and Ian and families. It is with great sadness that I heard (from Ros) of the sudden death of your father Max. I have known Max since we shared a pram together in Drogheda
We spent many a summer on cycling/camping holidays before graduating to our friend Billy's car.
I was his best man at his wedding to Mo in Panarth and stayed with them a couple of times..
Unfortunately careers and life took us apart so we did not get to know each others families. The last time that we met was when Hazel and I celebrated our golden wedding in 2014.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this sad time.

So sorry to hear of the passing of Max. A gentle soul and Shannon institution to whom I owe much. Sincere sympathy to David, Ian and family.

I met Max at church when I first started to go is there. I always sat next to him. He was so kind to me and welcoming. Over the weeks he shared with me that he had been a potter and his interest in the music society. He was a very interesting man to talk to.He always showed an interest in others and had a ready smile for everyone. I will remember him fondly
