Deepest sympathy to all the Webster family on the sad passing of Max. My late Dad James worked with Max when we lived on the Clonsilla Road. May Max Rest in Peace.
It was with much sadness that I learned just recently of my 1st cousin, Max's passing. So fondly remembered and especially so when many years ago he would occasionally call to visit my late Dad, George A Webster, or Uncle Alec as Max, with much affection would often say. And likewise his affection for his Aunty Nellie, my late mother. I remember clearly, as I also do of his late and dearly beloved younger brother Joseph (Joe), his lovely warm, and generous manner, his jovial banter, and laughter, and his wonderful sense of humor. The many many beautiful words of condolences entered here are a true and accurate testament to the fine human being and true gentleman that Max was. My sincere condolences go to Clare, Margaret, Ronan, and their families.
Max was a truly special person and it was such a privilege and honour for me to know him and to spend time in his company. He was especially kind to me in troubled times and I will never forget him. A true gentleman to his fingertips with such warmness, kindness and the gentleness of a great man from the west. Rest in peace dear Max and my sincerest sympathy to all the family. John

Dear Margaret, my deepest sympathies to you and your extended family on the death of your dad. May he rest in peace.
Some day,
you’ll join them there,
But now he’s gone ahead,
with boisterous manner,
cheek, serious of face,
he the realist and one of truth,
but who always believed,
in a promised heaven in the sky,
for all of us, past, present, future,
patience to meet again,
where he ‘ll be waiting,
waving his hand to welcome,
some day.

Our condolences to Ronan, Claire, Margaret & clans. Max will be greatly missed.

Clare, Margaret and Ronan, please accept my deepest sympathies on Max's passing. So sorry that I couldn't make the funeral in person. Talking to Max's many friends over the last few days, the first words from everyone is "A true gentleman". And that he was; a true gentleman, an amazing friend, a thoughtful and supportive colleague who always seemed to be in good humour. His infectious laugh and smiling twinkling eyes helped diffuse a lot of situations. He will be sadly missed.

To Clare, Margaret and Ronan - it was an honour to attend Max’s funeral yesterday with my brother Ciaran. He would be so proud of you. Max was part of our family. He was there for it all - the highs and lows, the good times and bad and for all the drama too. A loyal friend with a great sense of humour. We will miss him greatly. May he rest in peace.
I was very sorry to learn today from Brona of Max's sad passing. I am also sorry that I did not know in time to attend his funeral, to personally extend my condolences to you his beloved family and pay my respects.
I knew Max and his cherished wife Philomena for many years, both in my capacity as a GP and also as a neighbour and friend.
Max was a person who I greatly admired. I always found him to be very good humoured in spite of many adversities. And I was jealous of his amazing wit. I regularly encouraged him to '"write the book''
His witty reply always was " They say that there is a book in everyone. Well, that's where it should stay and that's where mine will stay" Our frequent encounters were in the local newsagent in Woodview Grove.
Sadly Covid made strangers of everybody and we hadn't met since that time. It was a privilege to have known him
To Ronan, Margaret and Clare my deepest and sincerest sympathy on your sad loss. May your Dad's gentle soul rest in peace.
