I'm so sorry to see this. Condolences to all who will miss Mark. I first met him when he was a young teenager and we worked in L'Isle de France where we were all very fond of him. He had a permanent beam on his face and was full of trust and hope in people and the world. This doesn't seem to have changed in the years since. The greatness that he brought out in others was always there in him.

Sincere condolences to daughters and grandchildren of Maxi.I had the pleasure of growing up with Mark ,and his brothers and sisters in O’Hanlon Park.We just lived doors apart.Mark was younger but loved to hang about with the older lads..I always remember when Mark called to my house he had just got new runners and challenged me to a race LOL as he was convinced he could run faster and beat me LoL.Thinking back on these memories brings a smile of simpler times. Well buddy you have wings now so sure to win that race now.As we got older and started to head into town, Mark had great style and loved meeting all for the crack…I laugh when I think back when I got my ford escort XR3i..Mark would jump in first thing he would do was put down the window put stereo on full blast, arm out the window looking to do laps around town of Dundalk on a Saturday afternoon. Now when I got another car Toyota Celica ..Mark said to me what’s the story with the window
I told him it was broke lol
I hadn’t the heart to tell him I could lock the passenger window on my side of the car ..to this day I never did tell you maxi .
But you know now buddy lol.
One last thing I remember the time he ran a bus to the FAI cup final in Dailymount park
Dundalk vs Derry it was day to remember ..I can tell yea lol..
Anyway guys I am only sorry I can’t be there to say goodbye to him Sadly😢
So just to say your Dad was a great man and great grandad 🙏godbless .
Come on the town !!!!Rip buddy your good friend Jemmy Dawe

Maxi- I saw you recently in a local cafe . I didn’t make the effort to say hello or even wave at you as I left. We didn’t know each other that well but through a mutual friend for a few years. I’m sorry that I didn’t make the effort that day - lesson learned - you gave all your time to everyone and for this we are all thankful. A true legend. Rest in Peace now Maxi and I will remember my lesson and give more of my time to others.
