So sorry to hear of the passing of your mam. Deepest sympathy
Ode to a very lovely lady
May, I met your more than 25 years ago and you always impressed
Beautiful and elegant and full of finesse
You were a sister to my mother in law
A woman I came to adore
Over the years we have laughed and we’ve cried
You were always someone I felt I could confide
I watched as your wonderful family grew
Each new grandchild adding to you
Like my own father, you raised your children alone
But each and everyone one of us have shown
What wonderful parents we've all had
And we are very proud of our mum and dad
I always felt a special bond towards you
And you always lifted me if I felt blue
Although we lived on either side of the Irish Sea
You were always very special to me
I loved when you came to visit your sister dear
You always came and brought good cheer
We’d go the bingo even though you didn't much care
We did have a laugh once we got there
Betty would be numbers ahead of the pair of us
But you didn't mind and never made a fuss
You always told me tales from old
When Mark was always so very bold
You encouraged me to look my best
To have known you I do feel blessed
You were loved both home and away
And I find this very sad to say
I cannot believe you are no longer there
At least it's not a sorrow Betty will bear
Reunited with sister and brother
Along with your father and mother
Rest in Peace my dearest May
