May and I were close friends in Shraheen school and made our First Holy Communion together. She was brilliant at maths, while I struggled, and many mornings we sat on the side of the road where she patiently helped me along. I have so many fond memories of our days in Shraheen school together which I will always cherish. May her gentle soul rest in peace.
