To Chris, Conor, Aidan and all the Mooney family, I am so sorry for your loss. I worked with Maeve/Meabha in ICC and BOSI. She was a wonderful friend and colleague. Intelligent, great fun, bright and cheerful with a lovely smile.

Condolences to all of Meabha’s family. Meabha was my cousin. When I was living in Rathmines in the eighties, I met up with her a few times in the Portobello and Slattery's. She was such a sociable, fun loving person and kind person. She shared some hilarious stories about her time in Germany including some of the culture shock she experienced. She spoke so fondly about all her family, her beloved mother, her siblings and her nieces and nephews and she really enjoyed babysitting them. It was clear she had the makings of a mother and sure enough she was blessed with two lovely sons she treasured. A true Dublin girl and at the same time very connected to her roots in Donegal. The last time I saw Meabha was at my father’s funeral. When we gathered for the meal, I chose to sit with Meabha and her family and I will always be thankful for that. Little did anybody think that she would be the next to go. She will be reunited with her parents, Séamus and Sheila, both fondly remembered. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam

Meabha was the friendliest, warmest person you could meet, who as others have said had a smile that would light up the room. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

I worked with Maeve for 5 years in ICC/BOSI, and she was a very dear friend to me. She supported me through a particularly tough time in my life, and for that I will always be grateful to her.

Maeve was a force of nature, dedicated to everything in life she took on. Be it her career, caring for her beloved mum, and later her family life, she gave it her all. Her sense of fun and mischief used to keep us all smiling. Many's the night we were the last two to leave a party!

Fly high with the angels, my darling friend, and if there's a bar up there in heaven, keep a seat for me.
