Dear family, I love that word family: it’s as if we are together as one! I’m very sorry for the loss of Meg— I was always looking forward to seeing her each time I came back to Ireland. She was always a joy to see, and you could rely that you’d see her and her son (he was always so good to her) in church any Sunday you’d go. I remember as a kid walking around town, I would run into Meg for sure! She always had a good word for everybody. Rest in peace, dear Meg.

She had a warm radiant smile and a great memory of names. She was always immaculately dressed and outshone the Queen. Meg had a heart of solid Gold. She couldn’t do enough for everyone. Fondest of memories of her in the shop as a child & teenager. Many a lift home she gave my mother and us sometimes if it was too wet to cycle home with shopping etc. Nothing was ever a problem for Meg. Nobody was ever going to go hungry or thirsty. We had great times with Patrick and Martin as kids playing out the back. May her kind, gentle soul rest in eternal peace. We will never forget Meg Hession ❤️🥰

I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Cousin Meg. From my perspective growing up in Athenry she was always a delight to run into. She always had a kind word for the children and frequently some goodies to go along with them. Her kind spirit and devotion to the Church was well above and beyond requirements for a special place in the afterlife. Sincere condolences to her family.
