Most people have one mother , maybe a step mum at some point . We can say Melissa was our Irish mum. Not only she opened her heart fully to us showing us the love and care we needed being alone in a new country, but she opened the doors of her home too and made it feel like our own. Every afternoon, cup of tea and a treat . Every Xmas just make sure to come up home for your dinner with your Irish family, she would say . I know even my own mum back at home she’s forever grateful that we have someone so caring looking after us . Forever our Irish mum , forever granny to Sira .
