I have such fond memories of my very first teaching practice with Michael in Moone NS. He was kind and caring to everyone and I learnt so much from him. He had a knack for bringing sunshine to those who needed a caring word and nothing got past those twinkly eyes. What a gentleman.

To Bridie and Family. I am very sorry to hear about the passing of Michael, may he rest in peace. During his time as a public representative he served his community well and with distinction. A real gentleman. Thinking of you all at this sad and difficult time.

I had the great pleasure of working with Michael on the Board of Carlow Chamber of Commerce. He was an outstanding contributor and a real gentleman, always respecting the views of others.
