Lodge and the Grand Hotel. We had great sing songs. He had a golden voice,
great personality and sense of humour and was great company.

Michael and I were regular attenders at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Cork. Got to know him as a man with a great voice and a super sense of humour. Gave many years of his cooking skills to meals on wheels in the south parish. A lovely, sweet, gentle, Christian man. May God bless all those that miss him.

My deepest sympathy to Michael's family he was a lovely gentleman we had some good chats when I visited Amberly about Knockananig I came from there a long time ago myself may Michael's gentle soul rest in peace

I was saddened to hear of Michael's passing, he was a true gentleman & a great character. I always enjoyed when Michael, together with my Mother Eileen & Aunt Betty would regale me with stories of their childhood in Knockananig. May Michael rest in peace.

Michael and I were shipmates on the Innisfallen 50 years ago and shared a cabin all that summer. It was a small one and Michael had a big voice. Each morning at 5.30 he rose like the lark and sang. Mostly musicals from his Fermoy Musical Society repertoire.The work was stressful and hard but in my minds eye I clearly recall Michael's jaunty walk, toothy smile , curly carrot top and gentle spirit. I remember little else of that summer job and never met Michael again but on this day I think of you with love and affection.
May your gentle soul , reunited
with your parents , be at peace.
