I was deeply saddened to hear of Michael's passing. I knew him through our shared involvement in football. He was fair and respectful on the pitch and it was obvious that he had a genuine love for the game. I would like to extend my heartfelt and deepest condolences to you all on the departure of your loved one.

Very sorry to hear of the passing of Mike. A great friend and travel companion from Derry to Wexford and all points in between. And never so much as a cross word between any of us. Loved his football and loved his craic will always remember him fondly
